The Kai DM-0717 Shun Damascus santoku Knife has a 190 mm blade with a 122mm handle, and is very handy for chopping and slicing vegetables. Knives have a D shaped handle which has been ergonomically designed to fit comfortably in your hand. The handles are made from fine laminated Pakka wood and has a full tang construction.
Larger than a standard santoku, the Shun Classic "Sumo" Santoku is an astonishingly efficient slicing knife. The Sumo Santoku's blade is 30% wider and 1/2 in. longer than the standard Santoku. This wider blade allows effortless slicing of even thicker foods, such as potatoes or beets. The extra-wide blade also makes it easy to scoop up prepared food for quick transfer to the cooking pot or pan.
