Black Rice - 500g

How to Cook?
Mix with your everyday white rice to add more nutritional value.
If it's your first time, use 30 - 50g of the black rice for 150g of white rice.
- Rince off the black rice and soak for 2 to 6 hours. Drain off the water.
- Mix with soaked white rice and cook as usual. ( no need to add extra water)
If cooking just the black rice, prepare 150g for 2 servings.
- Rince off the black rice and soak for 2 to 6 hours. Drain off the water.
- Add 300g water to the soaked black rice and cook in a rice cooker. ( Same as cooking white rice)
Why Black Rice?
Black rice is rich in nutrients compared to white rice and it contains a good balance of protein, fat, carbohydrates, B vitamins, calcium, phosphorus, iron and other minerals. You can nourish and strengthen your body with these nutrients and specially the black pigments (anthocyanins) that act as a antioxidant.
