Ikebana (生け花) known as Japanese flower arrangement, is an art of a very long history dating back to Heian period (794 ~ 1185). Ikebana means "making flowers alive" in Japanese and one of the classical arts just like Sadou (茶道).
In this workshop, Rieko will teach us basic and seasonal Ikebana according to Ohara School of Ikebana..
Every session will be different, just like nature is. Our intention is to enjoy connecting with nature by creating the art of Ikebana and finding your "Zen" within.
*This class is to enjoy the art of Ikebana. We will not be able to issue certificates of any sort. If you are interested in being certified, we will arrange separately.
