What is good about our cashews?
We soak and dehydrate our nuts (sprouted) so that the phytic acid and enzyme inhibitors are removed and easier on our digestion system. Not only do cashews have a lower fat content other most of other nuts do, a large proportion of their fat comes from unsaturated fatty acid and around 70% of this unsaturated fatty acid is heart-healthy monounsaturated fats. These help lower triglyceride levels in our body and thus reduce risk for heart disease.

Are Organic Raw Sprouted Cashews low-FODMAP?
Organic raw sprouted cashews are not considered a low-FODMAP food according to Monash University, the creators of the low-FODMAP diet.
Cashews contain moderate to high levels of FODMAPs, specifically galacto-oligosaccharides (GOS) and fructans, which can be difficult to digest for some people with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) or other digestive disorders.
However, the good news is that sprouting can help reduce the FODMAP content of cashews. Sprouting is a process that involves soaking and germinating the nuts, which can help break down some of the complex carbohydrates that contribute to their high FODMAP content.
While sprouting can help to reduce the FODMAP content of cashews, it's important to note that portion size is still important when it comes to FODMAPs. Small portions of sprouted cashews may be acceptable for some people on a low-FODMAP diet, but larger portions may still cause symptoms.
As with any dietary change, it's always best to consult with a healthcare professional or registered dietitian before making any significant changes to your diet, especially if you have a medical condition.
