Recipe Idea: Vegan BBQ Burger (4 Burgers)
Ingredients:
- 2 packs of Violife Cheddar Flavor Slices (8 slices)
- 4 burger buns
- 3 large potatoes
- 2 grated carrots
- 1 leek, sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 clove of garlic, chopped
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 2 tomatoes, sliced
- Fresh basils and thyme, chopped
- Vegan barbeque sauce
- Olive Oil
- Salt and pepper
Instructions:
Wash, peel, and quarter the potatoes. Boil them in a pot with water until soft. Let them cool slightly, then mash them in a bowl with a fork.
In a pan with a little olive oil, saute the leek, carrots, onions, and garlic until soft. Remove the pan from the heat, add the basil and thyme, and mix with the other ingredients.
Add the sauteed vegetable mixture, a little olive oil, salt, and pepper to the mashed potatoes. Mix everything by hand until a dough-like consistency forms. Shape the mixture into 4 patties and fry them in a pan with a little olive oil.
Now assemble the burgers: Spread barbeque sauce on both halves of the burger buns. Place a lettuce leaf, a patty, 2 slices of Violife Cheddar Flavor, 2 tomato slices, and the top bun on the bottom half.
