Learn how to make glute-free dumpling wrappers from scratch!
Why is it difficult to make gluten-free dumpling skin?
Creating gluten-free recipes can be challenging due to the absence of gluten, a protein that provides structure and elasticity. Without gluten, achieving the same texture in the dough, which can be stretched and rolled, becomes more difficult.
Alternative flours and binders need to be carefully measured and experimented with. Patience and a thorough understanding of the science behind gluten-free ingredients are essential for achieving successful results.
Join us for a hands-on class and learn how to make gluten-free Gyoza (dumpling) skin from scratch!
During this class, we will provide step-by-step instructions on creating the perfect gluten-free dumpling skin.
While our demonstration focuses on making Japanese-style Gyoza with a crispy bottom and chewy skin, you can easily adapt this recipe to create Chinese-style dumplings for steaming, boiling, or even Nepalese-style momos.
The possibilities are endless! Simply adjust the thickness and size of the wrapper you make.
*Please note that this will be an interactive class, where you will have the opportunity to knead, shape, and roll the dough. Don't forget to bring your apron!
