The traditional katsuobushi is made through "fermentation."
KYONO ODASHI delivers powdered ingredients made from completely fermented "honkarebushi" to your kitchen and dining table.

This product is a collaborative development between KYONO ODASHI and the fermentation specialty store "Hakkou Shokudo Kamoshika" in Arashiyama, Kyoto.
KYONO ODASHI hopes that everyone can easily incorporate fermented foods into their daily lives.
This product was born from that desire.

HOW TO USE

  • For Dashi:
    Add about 1 teaspoon to 400cc of water and bring to a boil.

  • For Instant Miso Soup:
    In a bowl, add about 1/2 teaspoon of dashi powder and 1 teaspoon of miso, then pour in 200cc of hot water and mix well.

Weight: 50g

Storage Instructions: Please store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity.

Please refrigerate after opening and consume as soon as possible.

What is Fermentation?

Fermentation is the process by which microorganisms change food, providing beneficial effects for humans. The "Hon-Karebushi" used in the fermentation broth powder is a traditional Japanese fermented food. It involves shaping the "Aramotobushi," applying high-quality mold, sun-drying, and aging it. This results in a rich aroma and strong umami flavor.

This product was made with the intention for you to easily incorporate fermented foods into your daily life.

The usage is simple and easy. Just add about 1 teaspoon of dashi powder to 400ml of water and bring it to a boil. You can use it in the same way as granulated dashi (since natural ingredients are used, it won’t dissolve).
How about starting a "one soup, one side dish(「一汁一菜」)" lifestyle with a hearty miso soup that doesn't require additional side dishes? It's more convenient than using katsuobushi or dashi packs.
